Finley was born on a hot July night in Nashville, TN to a pair of musicians that had nothing but dreams of stardom, playing in a popular Beatles cover band hoping one day to make it big with their original song work. But like many that come to Nashville, their dreams were bound to bars and open mic nights, never quite making it. But once they held their bundle of joy they knew right then and there that she would be the one to make it and they would do everything in their power to ensure it. From the age of two Finley’s life was a constant loop of singing lessons, dance classes, grueling hours of piano work and guitar, acting lessons, pageant shows— anything to ensure the girl would be everything they weren’t.
School fell to the wayside- her life one talent show, small tour, acting gig after another. Childhood was something that felt foreign to her besides the one week a year she was allowed to spend with her grandmother- her biggest influence. Finally all the hard work was paying off, Finley and her younger sister started to gain traction as a singing duo, they were on small tours throughout the us opening for many country acts, brushing hands with stardom at the young age of just 10 years old. It seemed like life was going to be perfect after all.
But with money comes demons and Finley’s parents had more than their fair share. Ignoring laws and advice of accountants the girls trust that was supposed to hold their earnings was a facade— instead of being saved for college, their future and just what was rightfully theirs. It instead fueled her parents drug habits, gambling and need for expensive vacations, her dad’s many lovers and her mothers coping of shopping and expensive glasses of wine. Finley and her sister couldn’t keep up making enough money for them to survive- this fueled their anger towards the girls making their lives a living hell until one day Fin had enough. At sixteen she packed her bags, taking what little money her grandmother had managed to give to her to keep, her guitar, and silently said goodbye to the life she knew, leaving her little sister behind.

And just like that Finley was on her own. It was rough at first, trading a couch to sleep on for work here and there, opening for small bar acts, getting her name out as much as possible to rebuild a life that was portrayed to the media as perfect but now her own. Then what she thought was her saving grace came swooping in, a handsome older once friend of her father. He had everything that could change the course of her life; connections, money, small fame and further more he promised to make her a star. And he did… but with her growing fame Dimitri Augustin demanded she pay him back in ways that left her feeling like half a person. She was in his claws with no way out, he ruled over her social life and career, hiding her away while he had a family at home. She was his biggest secret and he hers.

But like she has once before, she broke away in the dead of night, relying on the few who did know her story to help her and that’s how she soon ended up in New York, starting new and away from the people that held her down for so long. Finley makes sure they stay their distance, sending small amounts to get them by… to keep her sister safe, to keep Dimitri quiet but how safe could she really be with monsters in her closet begging to come out. .

Nowadays Finley spends her time in New York, switching out her southern draw and country nights for big city nights and shinning lights. Her past stares at her in the mirror every time she sees the resemblance of her sisters face, asking the question:

Finley is a trainwreck, though an endearing one (or tries to be) she has a knack for running and a trauma response of over romanticizing and just wanting to be loved. She is incredibly soft but also has a darks side of desire underneath the wildflowers and honey exterior she is red lights and tangling in sheets. She truly has a big heart that feels big feelings and would do anything for her friends. To love and be loved in return is her main goal in life and she struggles with feeling unwanted or too much. When she’s backed against a wall she is a fighter and will destroy relationships when she feels like she is about to get hurt or be not enough or too much for someone. She means well and loves hard
